ABOUT THE CAMP
Big Little Stories is a creative storytelling camp for rising 2nd-rising 6th graders, where kids turn their ideas into real, tangible stories.
Over two days, campers will learn the basics of story structure, dream up original characters and plots, and then design and take home a printed book of their very own. It's a joyful, hands-on experience that builds confidence, sparks creativity, and helps kids discover the magic of storytelling.

FAQs
Is this a drop-off camp?
Yes! Please plan to drop your camper(s) off by 8:45am and pickup by 12:15pm.
What is the EIC?
The Entrepreneur & Innovation Center (EIC) is an INCREDIBLY facility on the campus of Franklin High School. It gives WCS students the chance to gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship and innovation by starting a business, launching a product, or offering a service. You can learn more here.
Does my camper need to bring anything?
Nope! We'll have all the needed supplies at camp. They are welcome to bring a refillable water bottle or a special snack though we will be providing snacks and water as well.
Why creative writing?
Student literacy rates are at an all-time low. Creative writing not only helps to increase those literacy skills but also helps kids to tap back into their imagination, builds confidence, and helps them to know that their stories matter.
Are camp workers safe?
Safety is always a top priority when running events for kids and this is no exception. All camp workers will be background checked and personally interviewed for clearance.
My child needs special assistance. Will that be available?
Please note any special assistance needs on the registration form and we will do everything we can to accomodate! Everyone is welcome at camp.
